Samantha Fish Entertains Rochester Crowd At Temple Theater |

12/16/2025 - Rochester, New York - Today I headed into downtown Rochester near the Liberty Pole to the intimate Temple Theater to see one of my new favorite female blues guitarists, Samantha Fish perform during her Paper Doll Tour. This concert kind of just popped up on my radar and I picked up a general admission ticket a day before the show and arrived a little early to the venue. This was my first time at the Temple Theater a small place holding about 1100 people and I entered the venue and was not even asked to show my ticket. I proceeded into the theater and went directly to the front row in front of the stage and parked their for the majority of the night. Tonight there would be two opening acts first up was Jon Spencer who came out at 7pm playing a blues punk set that I thought was not that great. Following that up Cedric Burnside came out and played a good set of electric blues that was well received by the quickly filled in crowd. He was accompanied by Joe Eagle on drums and Kody Harrell on bass. Soon after Samantha Fish and her band hit the stage and played an excellent energetic blues set. She opened with the title track from her new album Paper Doll and played several tracks from it including I'm Done Running and Lose You. Her band was pretty tight on this night and was the same lineup as when I saw her in June at Asbury Hall with Jamie Douglass on drums, Mickey Flynn on keys and Ron Johnson on bass. She broke out the cigar box for some nice slide work on Bulletproof. She closed out her set with Black Wind Howlin'. The encore was Samantha being joined by Cedric Burnside and Jon Spencer for an extended jam on Goin' Down South. This was a good show at a nice little venue, lets keep these shows coming.Slideshow | | <<<-   <-   ->   ->>> Samantha Fish performs Black Wind Howlin' at Temple Theater in Rochester, New York on Dec 16, 2025
