Italy Travel Log - Positano, Amalfi, Scala, Ravello Italy |

 10/20/2018 - Amalfi Coast, Italy - Today, we decided to adventure around the Amalfi Coast not by boat but by car this time. We were up early an took a guided tour getting picked up just steps from our villa at Villa Angiolina Relais in Sorrento. Our guide drove us along the beautiful mountain sides of the Amalfi Coast with our first stop on the tour being Positano. We walked the gorgeous town getting more photos since we already explored it a few days earlier taking in the Church of Santa Maria Assunta and the beach Positano Spiaggia. We stopped at Collina Positano Bakery and bought some delicious cannolis for the trip . We hopped back in the tour van and drove up the road for some nice photo ops of Positano from the mountain side, then drove on thru the towns of Praiano and San Michele onto our next stop, Amalfi. Here we toured the magnificent Piazza Duomo Amalfi and Cathedral of Saint Andrew the Apostle. We explored the town a bit and stopped at the beach Tonino ò beach De Vita Ciro. Again, we were back on the road heading to Scala for a fantastic lunch that included drinking limoncello and taking in gorgeous panoramic views of the Scala and Ravello countryside at La Margherita - Villa Giuseppina. After lunch, we were back on the road to our final destination on the tour Rovello. Here we toured the Duomo di Ravello and the Chiesa di Santa Maria a Gradillo. We finished driving around past Naples and finally back to Sorrento. An excellent tour that everyone enjoyed immensely !Slideshow | |
