10/27/2024 - Castile, New York - Today, we headed south down NY Route 19 to Route 246 and onto Route 39 into downtown Castile to lovely Letchworth State Park to take in some fall foliage. The weather was cool and overcast and the fall colors were maybe a little past peak but still a nice day to venture out. The views at Inspiration Point and at the Glenn Iris Inn were still very good as always. The park was free admission and was rather crowded on this Sunday morning. We left the park and had plenty of time before the late starting Bills game and decided to get a double dose of fall foliage stopping at Rochester's Turning Point Park to see more fall colors. The colors were just okay there and there were no crowds allowing us to enjoy walking the nice little gem of a park on the Genesee River. Slideshow |
