Lionel Richie and Earth, Wind & Fire Free Show At KeyBank |

 6/15/2024 - Buffalo, New York - Today, we attended a consolation prize freebie concert at KeyBank Center in Downtown Buffalo, New York to see Lionel Richie and Earth, Wind & Fire perform during their Sing A Song All Night Long Tour instead of driving farther down route 90 to see the Stones performing in Cleveland also on this evening. Deb won the tickets for Richie & EWF and they were pretty good dead center ice about twenty rows up. We arrived in Buffalo at what we thought was early enough to eat a quick dinner at Pearl Street Grill, although a little slow in getting our food we got it in time to enjoy it before the show start. We walked to the KeyBank Center and grabbed some refreshments and went to our seats. Again the seats were excellent for freebies and Earth, Wind and Fire opened the show and did their typical good set. They opened the set with Shining Star and played their classics like Sing A Song, After The Love Has Gone and That's The Way Of The World. They closed the set with September. They sounded pretty good and Phillip Bailey continues to impress on lead vocals. A good set that left the large crowd entertained. After a brief intermission, Lionel Richie came out and did what I thought was just an okay set. Richie came out and played many hits from his solo and Commodores eras. He played Endless Love, Brick House / Fire, Still and closed the show with We Are The World. I felt his performance again was just okay, but the large crowd seemed entertained. Maybe we should of went to the Stones instead but the price was right as it was another freebie show, Thanks Deb. Slideshow | |
