 3/25/2016 - Maui, Hawaii - Today we started our annual journey to our favorite home away from home, Maui, Hawaii. We started at a reasonable hour for this trip leaving at 7 AM to drive almost 3 hours from Hilton to Toronto's Pearson International Airport. We met up with Mike, Dee and Roxy who were joining us for the second year in a row on our adventure. We caught an early afternoon Air Canada flight from Toronto to Calgary and finally onto Kahului AirportM in Maui. The flights were smooth without issue and we arrived in the late evening driving to our ocean view condo at Kaanapali Shores. We eased into the first day enjoying a nice breakfast at the Beach Club. We spent most of the day chilling with drinks by the ocean front pool getting our tans on and traveling back to the super Walmart in Kahului for supplies. We took in a nice Maui sunset and also spotted some humpback whales. We finished the day with dinner at our favorite Maui pizza stop Pizza Paradiso. A nice typical mellow start to the Maui adventure.
