In Maui Doin Our Thing With Whales, Surf and Blues - Part IV

4/6/2013 - Maui, Hawaii - Our last days in Maui we were just chillin out by the pools on the beach. We went back to Lahaina and went on another whale watch with the Pacific Whale Foundation this time on our favorite boat the Ocean Discovery. This was another excellent whale watch we followed many whales, saw plenty of tails and several breaches, one very close and whales came right up to the boat. An excellent trip once again. We headed back to the condo and Dom hooked up with Island Scuba and Surf School and did some surfing on the same beach a man was attacked by a shark just two days prior. Dom caught some excellent waves. We journeyed east to the Kaanapali Beach east of Black Rock and spent some time at Whalers Village. We were walking the beach and someone yelled that they spotted a shark and everyone ran out of the water just like Jaws, not sure if it was really spotted but people were nervous based on the attack just two days earlier. We headed back to the condo for swimming in the ocean front pool at Kaanapali Shores and we snuck over to the nice pool next store at Kaanapali Beach Club Resort. We were laying by the beach and saw several whales breaching as we took in the sunset, got some decent shots. After the sunset we had another dinner at the Outback Steakhouse and we headed to Lahaina to take part in the Front Street Jazz And Blues Walk. We took in a pretty good blues act Micheal Powers from NYC playing at the Hard Rock Cafe. Our time in Maui is almost over sadly... 1 2 3 5 Slideshow
