 3/30/2013 - Maui, Hawaii - The journey to what is like our second home yes Maui started early today leaving the house at 4AM. It started with a drive to Buffalo International Airport to catch a flight from Buffalo to Chicago to Los Angeles and then finally to Kahalui Airport in lovely Maui. The flight was long but ok with a small mishap in Chicago, but we sat in Economy Plus which made the long flights a little easier to handle. We then checked into our condo at Kaanapali Shores in the ocean view penthouse with the ocean view we have come to know and love. The Maui adventure began with the daily sunrise walks on the beach with views of Molakai and Lanai. We took a drive across the island to Kahului and picked up supplies at the super Walmart. We then wasted no time exploring the south west coast including hanging in the favorite Maui town of Lahaina. We went back to Nakalele Point to climb down the mountain side to get our annual and up close view of Nakalele Blowhole. We then stopped at DT Fleming Beach and hung out on the beach where the high surf was impressive and made the blowhole very active and impressive. We enjoyed nice dinners at the Beach Club at Kaanapali Shores which was excellent and included Nicole's favorite Salmon in the world and we also had a nice surf and turf dinner at Outback Steakhouse in Lahaina. We did some swimming in the ocean side pool, checked out some large sea turtles hanging in front of the resort and enjoyed a nice sunset enjoying a typical day on Maui for us.
