Aloha To Maui On To Kauai - Part III

4/21/2009 - Kauai. Hawaii - The first chapter of our Hawaiian adventure was coming to an end with one last sunrise walk on Kaanapali beach which included spotting a couple humpback whales playing just off shore. We said goodbye to our condo at Kaanapali Shores and went to Kahului Airport to catch a Go Airlines flight to Kauai via Honolulu. The flights had no seat assignments it was sit where ever you like. Both flights were over in a matter of minutes and offered nice aerial views of the islands. Upon arriving in Kauai, we had a short drive from the airport up the Coconut Coast on the east side of the island to our condo at Waipouli Beach and Spa Resort and we were NOT disappointed. This two bedroom, three bath condo was absolutely awesome. Flat panel tvs and ipod docks in every room, cutting edge kitchen, jacuzzi tubs, beautiful views from the three lanais of the two acre pool, with slides, waterfalls, lazy rivers, tunnels, and oh yea the Pacific Ocean also. We started our Kauai adventure with a drive up to the northern portion of the island, including a stop at the Kilauea Lighthouse which offered some nice views. We continued on to Hanalei Valley and into the town of Hanalei. A beautiful little town with lush green valleys and mountains. We then headed farther west all the way to Ke'e Beach as far as the road can go. We stopped at several beaches along the way and also went to Manini-holo Dry Cave. We then headed back to the condo for some relaxing time at the pool enjoying the two acre pool with lazy river and slides. More Kauai to come. Part 1 2 4 5Slideshow
