 4/19/2009 - Maui, Hawaii - The Maui journey continued with a nice sunrise walk on the beach taking in peaceful views of Lanai and Molokai from Kaanapali Beach. We then went on to Lahaina for a whale watch with the Pacific Whale Foundation. As soon as we left the Lahaina harbor we were literally surrounded by whales. We spotted a mother and baby tail splashing and playing just off the shore. We spotted and followed many whales on this trip being entertained by splashing fins and whale tails an excellent tour again. We spent more time in Lahaina dining and shopping including breakfast at are favorite little spot Moose McGillicuddys. The last days of our Maui advenuture included a trip to the top of Mount Haleakala. The twisting and turning drive up to 10000 feet above sea level did not disappoint even though there was some cloud cover at the Leleiwi Lookout, the views at the summit were absolutely amazing ! We headed back to the condo for swimming and relaxing and watching another spectacular Maui sunset. Still much more to come. Part 1
